Overhead glazing can be extremely dangerous if it fractures into shards of glass that fall from height, especially in busy public areas much as shopping centres where overhead glazing is often a common sight.
National Window Films can provide retro-fit solutions for overhead glazing safety so there is no need to replace your glazing, making it a very cost effective way to reduce the dangers of overhead glazing.
We also offer specialist solutions for boss systems so that the tension on the glass does not need to be released during installation. Failure of overhead glazing can occur for a number of reasons, including nickel sulphide inclusions and accidental damage from external factors.
The system comprises of:
- A safety film that is applied to the glass. This is to ensure that if the glass breaks, it is held together and shards of glass do not break off.
- An edge-retention system to ensure that the glass is held in the frame so that the glass does not fall.
