National Window Films® have just come back from an out of this world project to protect Tim Peake’s Spacecraft from UV fading during its temporary exhibition from 27th September – 19th November 2017 at the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford.
After a detailed consultation between the client and our Technical Team, 3M™ External Prestige 70 was chosen for the front elevation glazing and the darker 3M™ External Prestige 40 for the high level, south facing rear elevation. The installation had to be planned to avoid the Museum’s 7 days a week opening hours and was completed over 5 very early mornings, with our installers off site by 10am. The project was completed on time and on budget.

The National Science and Media Museum in Bradford is the first stop for the capsule accompanied by the unique virtual reality adventure which, using Samsung Gear VR technology, places visitors right at the heart of Tim Peake’s journey from the International Space Station back to Earth.
